At least one of the farmer markets (Bidwell)accepts food stamps which makes it easier for low income pThere are already examples of making it easier to grow food in our region. Supermarkets like Tops and Wegmans stock local produce which promote local fareople to support local farmers. Our region needs to continue to find ways to make it cost effective for farmers to grow produce and make it cheap enough 14201

A Yes 2 C High prices C Lower prices 1 Adjust the in city zoning laws so more urban gardens can be planted. Allow the use of empty city lots for planting by nearby neighbors, at least until the property is purchased. Send information out to the citizens with gardening tips and a list of community gardens, areas where planting is allowed, and a list of community gardens, with the membership prices listed. Since the information isn't given to them, people are too lazy to research for themselves 14213
